50th Anniversary of My Mak & Apak Marriage

My age is only 27 years old this year but my parent has been married since the last 50 years. That means i was only be born after 23 years of my parent marriage. Last Thursday my family were having small feast to celebrate this golden jubilee. My sisters arranged the feast at the Sungai Perak Safari Resort at Kuala Kangsar and my eldest brother sponsored all the expenditure. And I only come and eat (the best thing to do). Absent family members are my wife and my children and my brother Saruji and his family. he is working abroad now.

My Mak full name is Puan Salasiah Binti Mat Dayit. was born on 16 June 1942. She is married to my Apak at age of 16 years old. While my Apak is Encik Alang Ahmad Bin Panjang Wahat. He was born on 1st December 1938. He married to my Mak at the age of 20. My parent is bless with 8 children of which 4 sons and 4 daughters. The first is my brother Mohamad Shariman, second is my sister Nor Shamha, third is my brother Saruji, fourth is my sister Salmah, fifth is my sister Zauyah, sixth is my brother Fazli, seventh is my sister Zaharah and eighth is me. My mak is always the best. All of us tell their problem to my mak first. Then only to my Apak. Apak is always cool to me but according to my brother, Apak previously don't really bother of what happen in the house. he passed all the responsibility to Mak. Apak only cares to find money for our family. I find that logic, because in their early days setting up family constant income is very important. I can feel it too now. but it was then when we can rely to other to look at our children but not in today world. I have to monitor all my children and I think we all should.

What ever it is my parent has given me all the thing I need to start my life and I'm very thankful. My vision now is to take care of my parent as good as I can. I always remember the word I learnt from school; "Kama tadiinu tudaanu". it is arabic means what you borrow (making debt) you have to settle it. So it is how you treat your parent, your children will give the same treatment to you when you old.

I've put the pictures of the feast at friendster Album.

And here is the rest of it.
